BLOGGERS @ ASAM PEDAS

Anon, Bibi Aminah, Eli, Mat Salo, Marina and Stephen.... YB story

Look at the hands Idrus, Pokku, Elviza, Edelwiss, Salah and whose finger is that ?

Mambang Hijau, Pokku, Idrus, Jaff Point & Kerp the man ...

What is the similarity between Bloggers and Asam Pedas? One is the favorite hot Malay dish while the other is famous cyber dweller that has been a hot topic of discussions among politicians and community. One of the influencing factors that caused the down fall of BN in 5 states, so much so that some the BN politicians have joined the blogging community to keep in trend. So when a group of bloggers decided to meet at Asam Pedas, what do you expect …? It was hot and happening.

A simple teh tarik session to celebrate Kerp milestones achievement in meeting his idol Tun Dr. Mahathir, eventually became big get together with all the colorful bloggers in attendance. Its looks like the bloggers have landed at the Curve, occupying the whole front area of the Asam Pedas Cafe.

What do bloggers talk about when they meet? They could not stop talking, laughing and the topics varies from BN bashing, future political forcasts, BA praising, Gender in society etc etc. The exciting meeting could not have happened without the magic touch and coordination of Mat Salo. He left his swamp barge aground in Borneo to ensure the success of the meeting. Many thanks to him for arranging and sponsoring the meet.

As for me it was a great day meeting fellow bloggers face to face. Anon and wife all the way from Miri while Tokasid and wife from Melaka. Kerp I like your Beretta hat and bodyguard, look forward for your next raid. YB Eli and Marina for squeezing your time to be with us. Pokku, Pak Idrus, Ancient Mariner and Mambang Hijau, it was an interesting chat we have at the South Table. Eiviza, Galadriel, Elena, Marina, Eli, Edelweiss, TC, Raden G, Bibi Amy, KL Conf and all the ladies for good company. The photos will tell the rest of the story.
Pak Idrus ..... advising Eli ke ? Eli open your eyes !

MM, Stephen, Elviza, Jaff Pt., Ancient Mariner ... guess who is next to him?

Careless whisper ..... Yusof what is the secret !!!

Salah and youngest blogger Aiman ...Muteaudio in different space

Happy Marina ...... Cool Marina

Kerp , Shah, Mrs Tokasid ..... in focus

Radin Galoh and hubby .... playing host ..

Anon to Salah ..... once upon a time in Miri

South Table ..... heavy staff

D Jaff,
Oh it was done at Asam Pedas and not Kayu Nasi Kandar. I am glad they moved to this place as it seems to be more spacious and less crowded.
Terubat juga hati ini selepas melihat gambar gambar bloggers yang hadir.
Great job Jaff and thanks for the post.

Salam datuk,

it was a real honour to have met you sir, finally!

Bang DJ! Excellent Post! Love the 'Asam Pedas' tagline - never thought of that. Bang would you be so kind to send me original files that has only my pictures in them? I like the one in the blog here w/ YB Eli and Kak M for instance. Thanks bang!

ALL OF US who attended made it happen!

Kerp (Ph.D) said...

Oh, my sincere apology datuk, but I beg to differ a little. Initially, since Mat Salo is around, Doc Tokasid decided to come over from melaka and roped shah talkonly, muteaudio and me in over some supposedly teh tarik session. Not really about the umno forum that we attended, as much I would love to brag about it, no…hehehe…

* I can get the beretta hat for you if you’re interested sir. Its corduroy-material and surprisingly cheap.

Thanks for the nice pictures.
Let us meet again soon.

Salam Zawi,
Yes we miss your company all right but then KB is rather too far away. Somebody have to look after the North East frontier. Glad that the photos help for those who could not make it.

Dear Kerp,
Its great meeting you and the crowd. You are free to use the posting and photos in any way you like.

Thank you for sharing the primary background reasons for the meeting, mine will become the secondary cause then heheeeee.

I used to wear the Beretta when I was in early twenties; it was the trend then in Japan. Now I enjoyed looking at people in fashion only.

jaflam said...

Salam MS,
I did the early posting as a pay back for leaving early heheeee.

I have some good shots of you with the crowds and will mail it to you soon. Many thanks anyway for making it happen.

Salam Pokku,

D.Jaff, Great write-up of the event and great images too. Permission to copy. And at last we met in person, a stranger no more.

It was indeed a lively and interesting discussion we have had on the subject of politic that is still hot. Well, that is the way of blogger, when blogger meet it sure to explode into an endless chat. But then it was a great way to exchange ideas and information that what blogger do best.

Thanks for the lunch and have a nice day.

Salam Dato' (eh, chewwwaahhh, eventhough I must say I prefer Jaff at any point but since Captain sometimes reminds me of your title, so I use lah...),

I could not possibly describe in words what a beauty last Saturday was. As you aptly said, the pictures will tell the story.

Even when Kak Marina got up and said she was leaving, she actually took another good half an hour for extended gossip times with the girls.

What an august company.

Of course, Ely Wong is way too cool.

See ya soon. Latte on you yeah?

Salaam D. Jaflam,
Man! I wish I was there...
Pak Zawi and me met yesterday evening, had our own little conversation, makan-makan, and of course we talked about the gathering.
Anyway, great posting this. Thanks and have a nice day.

Salam Pak Idrus,

This meeting now and then is really good to put a face to a name and then to add the kemesraan among us.

Even the budding YB benefit from free honest opinion without any price tag. It’s kind of a beauty in diversity of opinions and inclinations.

Great meeting you and will catch up again when Mat Salo venture ashore again.

Elo Elviza,

It’s good seeing Marina warming up slowly and when she starts laughing, I knew she enjoyed the company as much as we do.

Eli did not have much time to fully warm her self up. It was good of her to move around the 8 tables, but something was in her mind, maybe the next program of the day with the rakyat heheheee.

You call me Jaff anytime, the title is just some recognition for my service to society & will be used for official things only.Yupp the latte will be on me. Take care and have fun.

As much as I wanted to join the gathering, my promise to the daughter and wife, must come first. And we did enjoy the sports.
However thank you very much for this neat N3. The pictures did very well in portraying the entire events. TQ again. Hope to be able to meet our fellow bloggers at some other gatherings.

Salam Akmal,
It’s good that you are keeping Zawi company in KB, while we set the tone at the Curve. You have good reason to ask MS to organize next mtg when you are in town - we need all the reason to meet now and then.
